So far...so good

It has been a wonderful summer so far. Being that Mother Nature robbed us of the month of June, we are forced to cram everything into July and August and hope for some additional sunny weather in September, otherwise known as Indian Summer.

What have I done thus far you ask...? Well I'll tell ya!

1. We bought a fire pit! Love this thing. Imagine sitting in your back yard with great friends, good wine and enjoying conversation and laughs. It is great!

2. We welcomed nephew #3 to the family, Nicholas James.

3. Celebrated my friend Michele's wedding. Let me tell you, she looked amazing. Picture perfect bride. So happy for her.

4. Beach. And beach some more.

5. A great fourth of July celebrated on the east end/north fork of Long Island.

6. Visited Breezy Point to celebrate my cousin Jen's 30th birthday party. Very fun. I really want to go back.

7. Visiting with my cousin Nicole who recently moved to Florida. Celebrating a brunch with the cousins. So great!

8. And quite possibly the biggest highlight of my summer, so far, is being offered an amazing job opportunity. A position in career services that I have wanted for a very long time. Honored, excited, thrilled to be offered this opportunity!

This month we have some exciting things to look forward to...

1. Another wedding! A backyard wedding. I think it is going to be great!

2. Celebrating with friends.

3. A trip to Scituate, Massachusetts to the Butterworth home to celebrate my cousin Jill's 30th Birthday. I am sensing a commonality here...lots of my friends turning the big 3-0! Ahhh...I'm next!

4. Joining a book club. This should be fun.

So, all-in-all, here is what I think of the summer 2009 so far. Good times, good company, simple living, and lovely.

Having herself a good time

Paige I love that last picture of you! What is this about the career service job? Do I know about that? Also, please tell Adrianna if she gets the book club going, I would love to join. :)
