Spring has officially arrived on Long Island.
The trees are in bloom, especially my wheeping cherry! The kids are wearing flip flops and no coats, the colors are brighter, the sun is shining and the birds are chirping. You can drive with your windows rolled down, and even smell a fresh-cut lawn every few blocks.
The best thing I love about spring is the spring cleaning. No joke! I actually look forward to bringing out my bins of spring clothes, packing away my boots and sweaters, and discovering what clothing I can do without and donate. I love being able to wear a light jacket instead of bundling up in a heavy coat and scarf.
I love spring cleaning in the yard too. Ok, ok...I love that my husband enjoys spring cleaning our yard! The grass turning green, our perrennials creeping up out of the dirt, and the barbeque making it's debut.

I cleaned my closet for good... and actually gave away the three bags of clothes, instead of storing them for sentimental reasons. I was very proud. I love the warm weather and I think spring just makes everyone so much cheerier than in the winter.
