my thankful list

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and every year it sorta gets lost in all the poinsettias, Christmas trees and wreaths. This year I tried to encourage those around me to embrace the wonderful holiday that is Thanksgiving and be in the spirit of turkey day first, then in the spirit of Christmas. I know Christmas is so exciting with all the gifts, glitter and songs, but Thanksgiving is such a special time.

For starters, there's delicious turkey and stuffing for dinner. Then you have the pies, apple, coconut, pumpkin and others. Then you can totally take a nap and it is accepted by others around you, and after the nap you feel energized and eat some more! Oh yeah, and you don't have to worry about spending money on gifts for Thanksgiving because the gift is being in the presence of those you loved and being thankful for the wonderful and precious life that is your own.

My work and the ability and opportunity to work every day
My hardworking and dedicated hubby
My amazing mother who is so kind and loving
My sister who is my best friend
Laughter
My family, extended that is, and my in-laws...I'm lucky to have good one's!
My two nephews who bring me joy
My dog who I adore to no end
My home
Friends...who are there through thick and thin
Friends...the new one's I have acquired this year
