the unofficial end of summer

Summer is "unofficially" over with the celebration of Labor Day. I hold on until mid September if I can. (Don't put those flip flops away yet!) I get sad when the summer comes to an end. It is bittersweet. It's so upsetting to see the days of beach weather, barbecues, and summer work hours come to an end, but it is also very exciting to look ahead to a new year filled with new colors, new faces, and new goals. I love the fall. The back-to-school butterflies, the hint of reddish-orange leaves in the trees, the sound of buses in the morning, the crisp cool nights...ahhh can't you just picture it?

I know it's not the same as New Year's and setting a resolution, but it is the start to a new school year and new dreams and goals and adventures. So what new adventures will you embark upon? Are you starting a new job or beginning school? What are you looking forward to this fall?

I am looking forward to...
Mums
Pumpkin picking with my nephews
A new semester of students and helping them define their goals and aspirations
Spending time with the people I love
...and so much more!

Good Luck to you all with your new endeavors. I'd love to hear all about 'em!

fall is my favorite season. this wasn't always the case, but I have really noticed that it inspires so much change in me.

my hopes:
to actually go to ballet class
to be more respectful of everyone
